Dr Chow Soon Ken, also known as Dr Ken is a Psychiatrist and Lecturer in Child & Adolescent Unit, of Psychological Medicine Department, University Malaya Medical Centre.
Dr Ken completed his undergraduate program in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, and postgraduate program of Master of Psychological Medicine in University Malaya. He is actively involved in research, teaching as well as societal roles, being the chair of ECP chapter in Malaysian Psychiatric Association. His areas of interest include child and adolescent psychiatry, adult psychiatry, psychotic and mood disorders.
Known for his approachable demeanor and patience, Dr. Ken fosters a welcoming environment where patients of all ages feel at ease sharing their concerns, building trust through his empathetic and non-judgmental approach. His active listening skills and clear communication ensure that individuals receive thoughtful, understandable guidance tailored to their unique needs, empowering them to navigate their mental health challenges with confidence and support while promoting long-term resilience and well-being. Proficient in Malay, Chinese, and English, Dr. Ken effectively connects with a diverse range of patients, ensuring clear and culturally sensitive communication.
