Ms. Hon Ee Mun is a registered and practicing licensed counsellor under Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia (LKM) and currently serves as a full-time lecturer in psychology at the Department of Social Science, Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology, Malaysia. She holds a Master of Counselling and a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) from HELP University.
With more than ten years in private mental health practice, Ms. Hon’s experience working with a wide range of youth-related concerns, including academic stress, career planning, interpersonal issues, grief, anxiety, and depression. She also has experience in working with adults in work-related and caregiver stresses, relationship struggles, social isolation, and adjustment to retirement. Ms. Hon is certified in Choice Theory, Reality Therapy, and Lead Management, and actively participates in professional career development.
Ms. Hon obtained her Counseling Supervisory certification under Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia (LKM). She has accumulated broad clinical experience during her training, completing internships across private universities, government hospitals, vocational boarding schools, primary schools, and refugee centres. This has enriched her ability to support communities and supervise students, teachers, and parents in delivering impactful mental health awareness events both physically and virtually.
Ms Hon is actively engaged in undergraduate education, clinical practice, and academic research. Her field of interest includes developmental psychology, educational psychology, counseling, community-based mental health services, and psychotherapy.
Ms. Hon holds a Master of Counselling and a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) from HELP University, with a professional background spanning her current role as a lecturer at Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) since 2024, and previous positions at Fairview International School (2023–2024), Raffles College of Higher Education (2019–2021), and Tan & Ng Specialist Clinic (2013–2019). She is fluent in English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, Cantonese, and Hokkien, enabling her to connect effectively with diverse communities. As a registered and practicing licensed counselor and certified counseling supervisor under Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia (LKM), she is also certified in Choice Theory, Reality Therapy, and Lead Management by William Glasser International and is a member of the Malaysian Psychological Association (PSIMA).
